Hi guys just back from a lovely 120 mile ride on 95 Tbird, I’ve washed the bike over and noticed very slight missing, so checked the coils and I have noticed the bottom one was arching/sparking blue (touching the fuel line) any ideas? Has the coil broken down or is just because it’s simply touching the line? Dangerous I know.

Was the whole bike still wet? not a good thing in any case sounds like there is some insulation breakdown, i would check if it can be fixed/insulated or just replace.

I make up stick coil conversion kits fot t3 models. Plug and play. Sub looms are colour coded and numbered wires. Pm me if you are interested. Only 12v (LT) into the plug cap/coil, not 10k's volts.[IMG] [IMG]

Apparently CBR600 and GSXR600 stick coils are the same spec and are often used as a replacement and are cheaper.
However any coil can suffer from insulation breakdown.

Ii did a lot of research to find the exact coils that match resistance perfectly, it is non of those. Remember use the wrong ones and it can destroy the igniter.
