hi all I’m new to the forum, I’ve recently purchased my first truimph , speed triple RS. I’ve done 1300 miles so far and now having issues with the shifter not selecting gears at times mainly 4 to 5th, and on occasions not selecting when I want the next gear, selector will move a little but doesn’t engage. When the bike does this it makes a horrible clunk from engine. Anyway is the anyone on here had similar issues .
Dangerous Welcome to the Family if I have not said it before. Is the bike new. And we await a photo. Check your clutch plates are not stuck or worn. Cable is free. Also make sure the clutch is set up right sometimes they need adjusting to get the right clearance. If it Clunks badly it sound like clutch. But they do have a positive gearbox so expect some clunk. Ride Safe Joe.
Hi and welcome. I have a 765 with QS and the gearbox is sweet. It might be worth having a chat with your nearest dealer? The only time I have an issue is with a half hearted gearchange or being indecisive as in bimbling about although that's not a bike fault.
Hi and thanks , never had a QS before so u never know it could be me lol. Bikes booked in for a check over on Tuesday
What's it like if you rev it hard say 8k plus and just bash the lever through the box; standstill to top gear?
No idea mate haven’t tried that. It’s not having the problem all the time it’s now and again. It’s always when I’m giving it some hammer.

Ah that's an interesting point you mentioned. The only time my QS gives a minor issue is going steady. My Set up revving to 8k plus is sweet and so precise it's lovely. If you were riding yours hard and that's when the issue shows then I would say there is a minor problem or adjustment requiring attention.
Welcome buddy Hope you get the qs sorted. As others mentioned... It's probably requiring a minor adjustment
