PJT, are you going via Fort William? I used to live the other side of the hill from Loch Lomond and have promised myself that I will take a bike up there one day. Seemingly the East coast via the A85 has some spectacular views. I just realised....you are living my dream!! [IMG]

Crispey, Richard. I went via Glencoe, Fort William and Fort Augustus. I've not been up this route for many a year. The weather again was pretty dismal, cold and wet. I took my time getting to Inverness and my misses had been at our rented cottage for about two hours before I arrived. Kettle was on and ready for me. Tea and a good single malt, just what the doctor ordered.
Richard we will try out your recommendation over the next few days. I'm also planning a trip out to Uig and also Thurso. I don't want to worry the misses too much so won't risk it if the weather takes a turn for the worst.

    Behind you
West end cafe (extortionate prices for coffee by the way-Sennybridge service station is cheaper)....then over the Black Mountain before the sheep take over!!

Hi Crispey, all ok. Weather in the Highlands too bad for getting out and about on the bike, so the misses and I have had some quality time together. No mobile phones, no computer access, we have had a nice week tucked up and snug. Prepared the bike for the return home tomorrow. My misses is already on the way home in the car. I'm going to have a very early start and hope to get home for tea.

Just about to set off home. It's dry and mild outside. The bike is all prepared, I've had my breakfast and I'm ready for the long ride home.

Hi Clarkey, you could try vacuum bleeding it or back bleeding the system, I had to back bleed with a bmw I had, some systems can be a pig to bleed, good luck

Had a tremendous ride home, took eleven hours with an hour break, but it was great fun. The Trophy behaved faultlessly as normal. The A9 was very quiet because I set off so early. The M6 was busy as usual but no plonkers around to be worried about for a change.

Managed to get hold of a copy of the March issue of Pratical Sportsbikes as it has a photo of my Daytona (and my ugly mug in it)

Did nothing with apart from looking at pictures memorising the license plate and plan adding it to my insurance and generally obsessing about the Speedmaster I am hoping to collect from the dealer on Saturday.

Trying to sort spokes for my 1963 Tbird. Did you know originally 3 different types spokes fit in same rear wheel
As regards front I've got a 9" twin leader to go into new rim so measuring existing and trying to sort right ones interesting. I think I might re zinc the originals instead using a pal's home diy kit. Just got to sort blasting of hubs etc, and new bearings seals.
