Tail Tidy & Fender Eliminator T100 Efi - Advice Please?

Look at squaredeals.co.uk. You might need some cable extenders for tail light and indicators, a little electrical thingymajiggamy to regulate the flash rate of the indicators.
If you go the tail tidy route there’s one that used the same led tail light and I think that comes with a plug and play harness.

 

I got the TEC Bikeparts tail tidy for my bonneville. It comes with LED rear light and plug and play wiring harness, and includes mounting for indicators and number plate bracket. Easy to fit - comes with instructions and all the fittings needed.

 

The electrics end up under the seat so are protected by the tidy itself. Had my seat off yesterday and all looks clean. Can't say the same for the back of your jacket though!

 

Agree, it’s more than just cosmetic that the number plate ends up where it is on the original, acts like a kind of mudflap for the spray off the back wheel.

 

I just made a replacement mudguard using half an old trailer mudguard that was lurking in my shed, I cut it down to what seemed like the right length then drilled into the sides to fit the indicators and used a replica old Lucas tail light. There are various aftermarket mudguards available for cutting down that are generally fairly cheap.

 

Steve, the licence plate reflector is needed for MOT isn't it ?

Use a rear light with one built in for the cleaner look you don't need two

 

I don't think the motone one does. Which is what I have just installed with my tail tidy.

 

It has to be central now, if you have space on the bottom of your plate the little stick on circular ones are available on most bike, accessories shops. I got one of these and bolted a rectangular reflector to it

 

Link doesn't work, but I think I know what you meant. I was told the reflect was needed and to be central for MOT indeed.

 

Interesting, The MOT manual section 4.8 indicates that

"Motorcycles must have one red reflector aligned to the longitudinal centre line and positioned to reflect squarely to the rear."

but does not list the alignment of such reflector as a fail. Only if gets loose or possibly lost, or if it's damaged.

My CX500 passed the MOT under the new rules with an off - centre stick on reflector, put on by the tester himself. To be fair, the bonneville passed last year without one at all but he did say i should put one on.

 

any mot centres recommended in Glasgow, anyone ?
