Hello all. I had an off a few months back on my 2008 america and am now trying to source some parts to get the bike back on the road. Nothing too nasty but I am wondering what you call the bit of metal that the gear foot lever and foot peg is assembled on. It is bolted to the frame and is bent so needs replacing but I cant research prices and availability until I know what it is called. Any ideas guys. (I am about as technically minded as a small stoat called Barry!!)

Hi Stevie, I suspect the part you are after is listed by triumph as 'footrest hanger rear' if it is the triangular shaped part, and is £53, the front is listed as 'footrest control hanger ass'y' and is £93.60. Hope this helps.

WoT is great for prices but their part numbers are not genuine Triumph part numbers, not even close like taking off the PFKL or anything, so if you look on there but want to order from another dealer you're almost starting over when you make the call.
A couple of American sites have genuine part numbers like 2wheelpros (although only up to 2012 for some reason, combine the 2 and you are set.

Best suggestion is to have the last 6 numbers of you bikes VIN and with regards to WOT their reason being is that I'm guessing they don't want you to get the part number and then bugger off to another dealer.

want to try Sprint Manufacturing I had an America and Trevor the owner went way out of his way to find me lights to replace the front original that had just crumbled and found me fantastic newer bits and spots as well. I don't know Trevor but just talking to him I could see how dedicated he was and yes you could say he was making money but for the pittance he charged me he'll never make the top 100 rich list
