I work for a large national firm that does contracts for all of the housing groups in Britain, for obvious reasons I can't name the firm I work for, I drive a refuse truck that clears and cleans all of the empty and abandoned property's owned by these firms, and I can totally and honestly tell you, that most of the property's we do, are just places that asylum seekers are given rent free, then they order thousands of pounds of goods from Amazon, take the goods out of the boxes and just leave the empty boxes in the property', the flats they are supposed to be living in are costing the taxpayer £900 a month to rent and are just drop off points and places they use for benefit claims, even worse than that are the people who come here and claim a house on benefits, then rent the house out to someone else whilst living in a better house.

I was totally amazed when I read the .gov pages, I really was quite disappointed that Asylum seekers do get offered these benefits.

Not that they don’t deserve help, but come on this is so open to abuse, at the end of the day we don’t look after our own in this country, my mother in law in her late 70’s got a tax bill for £360 this week, on a state pension, why is she still being taxed?.
She doesn’t have any other income.

I just find it incredible we help everyone but ourselves!

Except asylum, by definition, is a refuge in the FIRST SAFE COUNTRY from oppression in an unsafe country.

Equally, by definition. if you are in France, Italy or wherever you are already ‘safe’. You may be a refugee if fleeing war, famine etc., but most of these people are migrants looking for a better life.

The UK is no more obliged than any other country to accept them. Moral obligations, where such an obligation is even accepted, can be met in other ways... the preponderance of young, fit males tells its own story. Meanwhile all the drama in the Channel is pure political theatre. The problem is the carrot we dangle for illegals at the expense of legal applicants of real merit.

Sorry everyone I really didn’t mean cause so much outrage for everyone else
I just cannot get my head around the way this formerly United Kingdom conducts itself anymore.

When I was sent this it was just another reminder of how we treat others with the utmost respect and let our own just disappear without any thought for their lives first

I agree that if they are genuine asylum seekers at risk then they should seek asylum in the first safe country they arrive in.

Unfortunately the reason they target the UK is that they learn English at school, why would they want to settle in a country where they can’t speak the language.

Unfortunately mate, you've hit the nail on the head with "haven't we got enough lazy gits". The jobs are there in agriculture, retail and the service industries to name but a few, the problem is there aren't enough people in the UK willing to do them.

I have heard time and again people saying they will not get a job unless it pays over £26K as they will be financially worse off than on benefits. An acquaintance of my missus who has no qualifications whatsoever said she would never work in a nursing home, hospital or cleaning services as it is beneath her to clean up after others (my wife is a qualified nurse who after a 4 year degree was happy to clean up after others and provide them with the care and dignity they deserve).

Gone are the days of people having pride in being employed or running two or three jobs to provide for themselves or their families. Now there is just an over inflated sense of self importance and entitlement even when they have no skillset or qualifications to back them up.

    Sorry......rant over ;);)

Keep on ranting there, I’m on the same wavelength. I drove past a council worker litter picking the other day and thought to myself, if I had my way I’d have prisoners doing that and he could be better employed doing other tasks.

Until the uk stops being a soft touch we'll face this for decades.

Brexit wont fix this, until the foreign and indigenous scroungers are stamped out we'll continue to face underfunded NHS, transport, schools and elderly care.

My niece in law is a classic example, two kids from different absent dads, a £900 flat fully paid for, hundreds in benefits, flat decorated each year, 55 inch tv, iPhone, iPad, Macbook, two week annual holiday, nursery vouchers, free prescriptions, never done a days work in her farking life the lazy bitch, why work

I totally agree with you Repooh, most of the spongers in this country are born and bred white English people, who just can't be arsed to work for a living, why bother working when you can so easily fiddle the benefits system, I know a lot of lads that live with women who claim housing benefits, but tell the housing department they have no partner, so if they ever sort the asylum seekers out, can we then sort out the lazy, sponging white English born and bred lazy bastards.
