Vinyl Carbon Fiber ?

So I have this left over roll of silver vinyl Carbon fiber sheeting, So how much tank protection will this give? I'm inclined for more a look then actual protection....I'll be honest here I am by no means an ''iron butt'' rider, nor do I lean and ''press'' the tank....( I do lean it ,but no chicken strips either)........So I need some pic's of what is out there, so I have an idea of the design I need to cut and stick as it were.

I'm thinking of 3 separate cuts....2 sides and of course the one that faces the seat.

But thanks for the image....ya think the top of the tank gets more rubbing,for lack of a better term, than the sides???

 

more sticker shock than being ''a dork'' as you say, I know it's not HIS price and mro knows this as well....22 pounds is 30 bucks here in the states....But that is what it is......I ended up using sections of carbon fiber ....pix will be up soon...prolly end up tearing it off because I think it looks like shiite.
