A nice pint of Oranjeboom anyone? Used to be brewed in Rotterdam? o_O

    Hi Ron,
In my opinion there's no need to regret hunting - on your side of the pond that's culling I reckon. I used to in Scotland. If there's too many animals around it's just necessary. Killing animals just for the "fun" of it I object to. Like trophy hunting. And yes - depression is a b**tch. I know from close experience.

Oh yes, but it has to be ice cold. That's how we roll out here.

Nothing beats a good Dublin pint at room temp, left standing for 15 mins to settle so the rest can be poured in, unfortunately the EU health and safety tw*ts put their oar in and for hygiene reasons decided it had to be kept at below a certain temp to kill bacteria and also so that it would pour quicker to avoid standing and picking up dirt.
I see why you like it cold, obi, living in that heat but youre probably only getting 30% of the true flavour.

So very true. I did have it in the IOM many years ago, along with fresh kippers, fresh brown bread and fresh butter. truly a meal fit for the Gods.

It's a myth that the best is in Dublin. Way off the mark with 15 mins standing though, pour it just over two thirds then wait for 5mins to top it off and that's plenty. A good pint will have settled by then.

This was taken outside a wee pub on the Atlantic coast road in Ireland, The rain had eventually stopped, I was needing a break, so we pulled off the 'main' road towards the sea, sign for a wee pub selling food. You are looking at a picture of the best pint of Guiness I have ever drank, nearly one of the best pints EVER!

I always thought the BS about Guiness being better in Ireland was that - BS. But it's true, it is a much nicer pint, creamy smooth and no aftertaste.

    Oh, I need a Rant -

I wished I could have had another dozen of them pints, but unfortunately couldn't.:confounded: Arrrrgggghhhhhh

    :p

Have to agree, bread in the good ol' US of A is pretty bouffin. and the rolls you put burgers in, jeez they are manky.

But, those baked cheesecakes are bloody gorgeous:yum

Once had a Samuel Adams dark beer that was quite nice. :D

That Brexit stuff, unlike Guinness, is unpalatable even if it is true. Relapse? Shock and horror DD, are you suggesting I'm the type to try to keep dead things alive??? :p:joy::laughing:

Get yourself a bread maker and you can enjoy all the hot bread you can eat. Mine takes 2 hours to bake a loaf (just throw all the ingredients into the pan). Makes the house smell lovely

Delighted to see India spending £320 million on the worlds tallest statue. Good to know our aid money isn't being wasted.
