Yesterday I wheeled our Bonneville into the shed.
This morning I have completed a SORN.
Next week I will give the bike a good clean and move it into its vacuum bag until end of March next year.
This has been a fantastic year for trouble free biking, weeks of sunny and most importantly, dry weather.
A weeks holiday with the wife on the bike in Spain.
The acquisition of decent ventilated lightweight jacket, trousers and gloves.
The purchase and addition of a few choice accessories.
Sorrier than ever for it all to come to its inevitable end.
I think best years biking I can remember since I started riding in 1976.
    Roll on next spring!

As I explained on another post, we don't have "winter" here. The only thing is the summer thunderstorms, torrential and deadly. Never have to worry about rust or corrosion up here either, being 1800 meters above sea level. But do agree with the previous post. Summer of 1976, a brand new Z900, money in my pocket, and the open road, yes I did have the same Z900 till June this year, when I sold it to a collector in the States, apart from tyres, battery and a new 4 into 4 exhaust system just under 20.000 mile from new.

The weather here is forecast a very pleasant 80 degrees with sun all day! Never having traveled any further from home than the U.S. Virgin Islands for work, I have never experienced any severe climates.

I am very happy that you had such a great year and can look forward to many more in the future. Soldier on during the snow and keep up the good thoughts!

Yeah I've put the Street Twin away too. The Explorer will stay in use till they start laying salt.
Luckily I have a very understanding wife:

That's class That, so much I've just screen shot it and sent it to my missus.
So if I have black eyes in the morning, my missus has told me NO twice.
