Yep I had to stratch that cruiser itch, some careful thought went into my choice, still early days on it, and took a few rides to adjust, but I'm absolutely loving it.

It's more of a bike than i I expected! Large but not ungainly and it handles great.

No aching wrists or complaining back.

Only problem is, you have to get off it and walk away else people come up and want to chat to you about it, which annoyed my mate who loves to pose on his BMW S1000rr hp4 when it got ignored and people were paying all attention to mine.

New touring seat on the way, sissy bar for SWMBO, the standard pillion is a absolute joke, the missus was in agony after a few miles. Triumph should tell you when buying or not put the standard brick pad on the bike in the first place. Anyway the new seat should keep her happy.

Ordered the shorty exhausts aswell, come with free remap too.


I tell you what triumph know how to charge for the sissy bar, the pad and rack being add ons.

Well I managed to get a load of discount, after saying what a fantastic bike they got as a trade in.


Anyone thinking of a cruiser like the thunderbird, go ride one and surprise yourself how good they really are. The sheer torque and easy handling give me a big grin

I've tried counting the number of motorcycles that I've had, but I keep falling asleep:redface: Sadly far to many to remember all of them. However some were good, some brilliant and some rubbish. I've pushed many a machine home that broke down or wouldn't start after a night out.

 

Sorry man, my mistake. To be fair was not that fast, although it did hurt when the woman in the VW golf hit my side on breaking my foot, my 3rd week passing the test!

 

Oh, let me see now; passed test in 1999 and bought a CBR600Fv, sold that and got an NC30, had to sell that before I lost my licence and bought my T595 that's it up to date. :biggrin:
