Soft As Shite!!!!!!

Hey Dilli, have you any advice for me regarding these two, they’ve been hanging around in my garden for a while now

I was always under the impression, hedgehogs had spikes, did said animal use gel or something ?......... Well done Sir. You win the internet.

 

To balance the piss-taking and banter: well done, you did the right thing and hopefully it will survive. Hedgehogs numbers are in big decline in the UK, and this time of year is especially dangerous for them, with many young ones not reaching the minimum weight required to survive winter, and bonfires killing many.

We found a dead one in the garden a few months ago (possibly poisoned), and the next day, we heard young ones calling from our compost bin (they make a very loud noise for such little critters). I found three, about a week old, in the nest, and took them to St Tiggiewinkles. St T didn't think they had much hope of surviving, but when we called a week later, they were doing well. St T have a policy of not returning them to their original home range.
