Hi Rich, give you two bits of sound advice here mate, 1, Yes put some exhaust sealant on the joins. 2, Join another forum as this lot are pish, I also asked a question when I wanted to know how to remove my seat, no replies, went to another site and got all the help needed, I'm prob going to be banned from here now, but what the ****, as I said its pish.

Hi Rich, try it without first, you may not need any sealant. I've never used any on either my Trident 900 or my Daytona 955i CE (when I had it).

And,yes, other forums are available. I do find that what you find on one, you may not find on another, so use them all as the pool of knowledge will be bigger ... and probably more confusing!!

just as a matter of interest - what's the sound difference like - I bought mine with the slash cut pipes already fitted & the guy did say that although it passed it's mot okay - he did get an advisory for it being loud - I guess that varies from garage to garage though anyway , unless they use a decibel meter - but I personally don't think mine is that loud - so just wondered what you think to the difference

It was very quiet before.but i wouldn't say it was too loud . but i haven't had a chance to take it for a spin yet.i just had it ticking over and revved it a fee times.i will know more when i have ridden it.
