I live in France and I am 64 yers old and a motorcyclist since 1970. I had a lot of bikes and just bought a 2017 T100. This is my 3rd Bonnie after a 1972 650cc and a 2001 790cc. I am not yet convinced that the last is the best because I need to get used to it. I find the bike light, pretty and powerful but uncomfortable on bad roads and the rear brake is not sensitive enough to my liking (my previous bike was a BMW K1200LT). I think I will have to do some mods. Best regards Bruno
Welcome Bruno. First thing I'd do is swap out the shocks for YTS, Hagons or Ohlins. It will transform the ride. The Ikons on my 865 Bonnie made a big difference, as do the Ohlins on my Street Twin.
Bruno. Welcome to the Family. They do tend to leave the back brake lacking. People then to hammer it on and in the wrong conditions the bike is on the ground. But the things you mention are pretty easy fix's. Good pads and bleed properly. Seats are in ample supply and cheap enough or people like R K Leighton on the web will rebuild a seat for you reasonably priced they did mine around £90 quid and it is like an armchair and looks pure quality. Ride Safe Joe.
Welcome Bruno, nice stable of rides you have. I have just ordered a 4 pot Brembo upgrade for the back of my speedy, so there are options. Look forward to the updates
Hello and welcome to the forum Bruno, you are in the right age bracket for this forum my friend, grumpy old gits but with a wealth of information to share.
Thank you for your welcoming words. I will try to include a picture of the bike. If I succeed, you will see that, for the moment, the bike is nearly standard except for a luggage rack and a pair of leather panniers I bought 20 years ago. Soon I will begin to do some "improvements" but previously I will make a few thousand miles. Thanks again Bruno
