Just covered 9500 miles on the tyres on bike from new. Pirelli Scorpion Trail. Now done for, but got good mileage out of them. I don,t go off road now but do a lot of steady touring in Scandinavia and Britain. Seemed ok for my needs but first Tiger I,ve had so anyone got any recommendations or shall I stick to the Pirellis ??

That's good mileage out of your Scorpions. Your options for tyres are quite large if you ride the roadie version of the Tiger 800 as it has 17" rims and the Michelin Pilot Road 4 Trail appear to be one of the favourite of the riders who ride on paved roads.
If like me your on an XC with the 21" front wheel the Michelin Anakee 3 look top of the list for mainly road use as the Pilot Road 4 are not available for that rim size.

Metzeller Z8 all the way if your keeping it on the road.

    what did you do Baza?

I have Pilot Road4 Trails on my Tiger800. They're a very good match for the bike.
I noticed the ride improved a lot with them on compared to the Scorpions.

Shame they don't do the Pilot Road 4 Trails for the XC as I just use mine on the road. Probably should have gone for the roadie but being very tall the XC fitted me better.

Hi,Just about to change my tyres on my xc,the standard Pirelli's were terrible only got 4000mls out of them good job as I hate them, going for conti trail attack 2,they say they do not track or white line and have much better grip so I'm really looking forward to fitting them.

swapped my Scorpions for Anakee 3's after 2500 km's on my xRx, much better turn in & great wet road grip. haven't tried them on the dirt yet but from what i've rad they are pretty good off-road as well.
