Hello I'm waiting impatiently for a new T100 Bonneville to be delivered. I had a couple of extras added to the deal and of course the parts haven't arrived yet. My soon to be previous bike was/is a Honda Africa Twin. I have had it for two years and 38000kms. I rode it around Australia last year and another three week trip just recently out to Uluru (Ayres Rock) and through the Flinders Ranges in SA, a ride of 8400kms. The Honda has been utterly reliable but I want a change. My other bikes include a Yamaha SR500E, Suzuki T500R and a couple of Bultacos. I really like the Titan and the SR because they are just simple motorcycles and I'm hoping the T100 will bring the same sort of enjoyment in a slightly more comfortable package with a little bit more power. I will get my dirt bike fix with a trail bike later in the year. Tossing the Africa Twin down the road in a pile of bulldust would be financially disastrous so I figure a trail bike is a better option for the occasional dirt road expedition. I considered the T100 Scrambler as a compromise but the small tank and exhaust limit its practical use up here where fuel stations are far apart. I hope the economy of the T100 with the 14L tank will be enough, time will tell. This will be my first "British" motorcycle so I've got my fingers crossed that it performs well. I've tried BMs and Guzzis in the past, the new V7 Guzzis almost got the nod but liked the old two valve big block engines. BMs are too pricey for me.
Hello Justdrew and welcome to the forum Enjoy your new ride when she arrives Hows about putting some pictures up on here of your Aussie adventures
Welcome, Somebody calling himself the Grand High Wizard just called and said you have broken your scared oath and must now pay the ultimate price. No need to call him back.
Hi and Welcome, enjoy the Triumph, you were wise not to have bought the Scrambler for your off road fix ... I think it would have fallen apart as it really isn't an off roader despite its name and look!
