    Morning folks

As the wife and I are intending on doing the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride at the weekend so I thought I'd clean and lube my chain. I can't see how to get the rear wheel off the ground. My paddock stand doesn't fit and neither does my bike lift. Do you guys use abba stands or wheel rollers or do I really need to buy a centre stand for my bonnie?

Tricky! My Bonnie came with a centre stand, so chain tensioning and cleaning/lubing no problem - also allows you to get the front wheel off if you rock it right back on the stand and wedge something solid under the frame. (fitted fork gaitors this way) Worthwhile investment I think.

Put the bike on its side stand, secure it with a strap for safety. Gently raise bike on opposite side and toward rear with either a car trolley jack or pillar jack, until rear wheel is clear of the ground. Chock with blocks or use axle stand. Try www.tecbikeparts.com for centre stand much cheaper than Triumph.
