    Thanks for letting me join.

I have a Daytona 955i in Yellow and would very much like to know which yellow it is! I have found the list of paint codes and there are four yellows to choose from (Strontium, Racing - there are 3 of those, Scorched and Lightning). Anyone shed any light on which one it is for mine? Its a Y reg and a photo is attached if that helps.

I'd really appreciate any advice you can give me.

Welcome to the forum! I just spent some time Googling for Triumph colors and paint codes and I'm completely confused after reading all of the material. What I 'got' from the reading was that the best option is to go to a paint shop and let them color scan an item (cover) from your bike. One of the other members may have the information you need. Good luck with your search. If you come up with any 'pearls of wisdom,' please let the rest of us know.

Guys I found something.....an old dealer poster and price catelogue. See photos.

The colours of the Daytona 955i were Lightening Yellow, Aluminium Silver and Tornedo Red.

The Hinckley Triumphs colour codes I found on google suggest that the codes for those colours are:-

Lightening Yellow is IVC L2590 T3120300-FC
Tornedo Red is IVC L2804 T3120300-CM
Aluminium Silver i reckon is the one listed as Aluminium DuPont 460790101 T3120300-MH

Hope this helps someone else too.

Hi Mark. You got much to paint? Paint codes tend to be approx only and I’m presuming the yellow is a pearlescent not a solid. If you buy aerosol mixed paint then it’ll be nothing like even if it’s close. If you buy the same shade in a 1/2 ltr tin then it can be made to ‘look’ the same by misting and blending in over the next panel which you can using a quality spray gun.
If it’s the odd chip you want to hide then use tippex in the base with a yellow/ orange felt tip pen over the top till the shade darkens and finish with a blob of clear nail varnish.

PM me the last six digits of the VIN number and I'll look in the Triumph system and tell you exactly.

    Oh, and welcome aboard.
