hi guys, Quick intro. I’m Vernon from holbeach in lincs. I had a T595 in 99 which I kept for 10 years and loved to bits, before converting to 1000cc Japanese machines. Gixers and a Hayabusa later (still in the garage) I decided to get something a little more “relaxed no” to ride. Tried the new z900rs but wasn’t impressed (although it does look cool) so decided to try the Thruxton. Got off it and said “I want one” Received yesterday my exactly one year old Thruxton R with just 800 miles on the clock. Awesome looking and goes just as well. Hopefully still enough good weather to get some good rides in this year and put a few more miles on(unlike me and my fiancé’s trip to Silverstone, rather damp). Vernon
Hi Vernon and welcome! Please share a picture of the Truxton when you get a chance. They are very likable bikes !
Welcome to the Asylum you should fit right in. To keep the inmates happy we will need photos. Hope it's BLACK Tucker
Welcome aboard Vernon, cracking looking bike you have there, get out and have fun before the weather changes
As a fellow R owner, a bit of advice. If the bike has been ridden in the rain, ensure when you get home to dry the bike down with a micro fibre cloth, otherwise al your alloy bits will have rain stains on them. If you notice these, a quick polish with autosol will sort them out. Cleaning the throttle bodies can be a bit of a pain though. Enjoy your ride, I absolutely love mine
Good morning and welcome. I, too was bitten by the Kawasaki bug, but am still riding my 06 Scrambler!
Hello Vernon from Holbeach. Welcome in this crazy place. I like your bike! Never rode a thruxton, but I enjoy my Bonneville T120
Inaugural ride to “Sunny Hunny” on the Thruxton (that’s Hunst to the in initiated) Still only have a single seat so fiancé had to stay at home . Sorry sweetheart x
