Morning, having a small issue with my 2012 speed triple. It starts really strongly and ticks over fine but as soon as I pull away the clocks shut down and the bike cuts out. It will start immediately but the same thing happens every time.
Any ideas please? Was running fine until this.

No experience of this but had any work been done recently? Sounds like electrical plug issues. Or maybe a loom issue, does it happen when bars moved lock to lock?

No work done and just back from a trouble free trip to France. I will start it on the stand and go from there. Hopefully it might show some problem

Looks like the suspect wiring, it cuts out as soon as I touch it!

My 54 plate 1050 Speedtriple had very similar, ended up rewiring the headstock with sellotape at a petrol station in the middle of the night once just to get home.... also wrapped my mates in sellotape too, just coz lol :D

    Clutch switch or loose connectors.

When you say "touch it " touch what?

Give as many details as precisley as you can.
"Start on stand" so side stand down then.
When does it cut out? When you kick up stand, move , clutch ,throttle which one or more than one is it? Wheres it kept? How long has it been sitting since it was working?

Thanks but I’ve found the problem, wires round headstock seem to be the issue. I had it on a paddock stand so I could eliminate clutch issues. It cut out as I moved away and bars turned slightly. Ran fine on paddock stand until I touched wiring coming from the ignition switch when it lost power to the clocks and cut out. Only been sat for a week in the garage after coming back from France so lucky it happened now and not in France.

Great that you shared this without everyone too, so often a problem is mentioned but the fix never gets shown.
