Further update My insurance company, (MCE), have picked mi bike up from the salvage yard. I'm now waiting for one of their engineers to look it over. It's a waste of time me ringing em, cos all calls go to a call centre in the Phillipines!! Then they make an appointment to ring you back, between 1400 - 1600. Got a telephone interview with a "claims validation handler" on Thursday at 1000, might find summat out then, hopefully.
It is a real sinking feeling when you get your bike nicked, you need to have it happen to you to fully understand the impact. You are one of the lucky one to get your bike back so quickly; I hope it is not badly damaged. As many have said it is sad that the punishment handed out for this type of crime is a joke...... Wessa
Update Mi bikes a fuckin write off. I'm absolutely gutted. Just had email of engineers report, as follows;- New parts required:-Headlamp fairing, Rhf Lever, Handle Mirror, Rad Cowl Outter, Rad Cowl Inner, Belly Pan, Exhaust, Rh Engine Cover, Alternator Cover, Seat Cowling, Seat, Rhf Indicator, Rear Lamp Trim, Lock Set, Top Yoke, Lower Yoke Specialist/Sundry charges:-Epa Charge Parts to check:-Final Check And Road Test, Wash And Clean Evidently, it's a Cat N, which allegedly, is equivalent to the old Cat D, which means uneconomical to repair. Lookin at t'list of damage, I find that hard to believe. Maybe it's just easier for t'insurance company. I dunno, fed up now....

I wish I’d done that when the misses car got a minor rear end shunt... engineers report was waaaay over the top, so we settled... but I bet the engineer offered the insurance company a couple of quid for the car and did it themselves.
