Looking for info, pros/cons, on Thruxton models. I have a new gig that is only five miles now and I'd like to purchase a Thruxton for daily commutes when I don't have to take my daughter to school and what-not. I have never owned a bike, but have ridden a few dirt bikes and quads. I did "dump" one once, but it was on sandy soil and I only twisted my knee pretty good.
I found a couple of '14 Thruxtons for $7500-$8000. This will be my first bike. Thought about swooping up a CB500 or the like and build me one, but I think I'd rather have a "factory" bike first. Are the '14's non-FI?
Welcome in Par-Archer. School run on a motorcycle? Think of the street cred and deep respect your daughter would receive from that scenario. Just saying like.
Thruxton 900 is good low centre of gravity but for crawling through traffic they can get a bit heavy in the wrists, a bonnie will give you pillion room

Welcome to the Asylum you should fit right in. Which ever one you chose we will need photos as it keeps the inmates happy Tucker
Hello and welcome from Sunny California. Check out the Bonnie Street Twin which I ride. Easy to ride (even with my wife on the back), plenty of power, great mileage, looks great and not to mention lower cost. If your 1st bike you won't be disappointed. But with all that said I do also like the Thruxton.
