I am thinking of getting a new Bonnie T-120. I have not seen a lot of these bikes on the streets of the Chicagoland area . Somebody tell me you are from USA and you love this bike.I have looked at a lot of bikes . It is down to 3 The Honda cb1100 and also the Kawasaki z900.Still like the T-120 the most. Just waiting to be convinced that I had made the right choice. I appreciate all the comments I can get. I need feedback.Thanx.
Well I could tell you I am from the good ol’ US of A but that wouldn’t be true......but I do love the T120. I would invite you to look at this way. Triumph re-invented the modern Classic as a smooth, reliable but still characterful twin with fantastic detailing. Honda and Kawasaki are playing catch up. Their originals certainly eclipsed the old British twins and their modern equivalents are just that; modern equivalents. They just lack that indefinable ‘something’. You clearly feel it too.
I hope you are told what you want to hear.........but there is nothing like trying the real thing. There must be a dealer somewhere near you within 200 miles enjoy the forum
Hi and welcome. Whilst many on here will tell you yes go buy one, as Lexy says the best way to confirm your choice is to ride one.... Wessa
Welcome Freezer. Have you taken a T120 out for a test ride? Be warned, if you do you'll buy it - only then a choice of color.
Good morning and welcome! I'm from Ms. and can identify with your dilima. I just settled on a used Scrambler, 06 model, because I will use it for limited off roading. What I really took note of was your choice of bikes. I considered the Honda CB1100 as well, but ultimately chose to go Brit! At the time of my decision, the Kawasaki had not been released. I've been on a Harley Davidson for about 10 years and this is a big change for me. I see plenty of Bonnies in my area. Good luck with your decision, and again, Welcome.
Hello Freezer and welcome to the forum Irrespective of what’s been said all of the modern classics are just that, a modern equivalent of the originals including the T120
Welcome aboard from across the pond, like others have said, if you're a little hesitant on the T-120 go chuck your leg over one if possible.
I live in Dallas and have a 2016 T-120. I am partial to British bikes as I have had/have five over the years (1968 BSA Victor, 1970 BSA Victor, 1971 Norton Commando, 1971 BSA Thunderbolt and now the T-120. Not only that, it's a fun bike to ride - lots of power and pretty darn comfortable considering it's not a cruiser or touring bike.
I am less than 2 weeks from picking out my Brand new Triumph. After 8 years of no bike I will have one.Now I need to look at the bike dealers. And the best deal. The closest dealer is Windy City In Geneva IL.There are a couple others around town I need to look into. I can't wait. Like a kid at x-mas time I am so .....well ....I have no words for it.I have My mod list .... DANG!!!!!
Welcome to the Asylum you should fit right in. When you get your bike we will need photos it keeps the inmates happy. Hope it's black Tucker
