I have just purchased a 2012 Street Triple. It has a built in auxillary port in the fairing on the left hand side.
I have a trickle charger which has a small white plastic attachment which i used to plug directly into my Harley. How do i convert this attachment so i can use it on my Triple please?????

You can normally buy the trickle charger adapters from eBay. it would be the easier option.

Yeah that is a flat battery. Had the same problem with a mates bike. Charge it up and try and start it. If it won't start then you will need a new battery. Your bike should bump start. Do you have the crocodile clips you can use with your charger?

Just connect the red clip to the positive (also red on the battery) the black clip to the ground of the bike or battery. Plug in and switch in. Your battery is located under the seat from memory..but I'm sure you will find it and it will tell you where it is in the owners manual.

Okay, i've been a bit of a halfwit. I found an optimate connection at the back of the bike, connected my charger at it showed 11.8volts. After an hour or so it showed 12.5volts, i disconnected it and the bike started fine.
What volts should i allow it to get to? i really want to take it out for the afternoon but i'm worried that it may not start later on.

Your bike will charge itself as you ride. Go for a ride enjoy yourself and charge the bike when you get home over night.

Cheers for all your help Screwball. I went out for a couple of hours and yes it seems to be charging itself. Rode over to Pure Triumph in Wellingborough, such a blast.
