Thruxton Early Thruxton 900 Clip Ons.

hi , I recently purchased an 07 Thruxton 900 , this model has the clip ons and carbs . I've had the bike out once when the roads were dry and after 25 miles had to head home due to my neck getting tired . I know I'm getting on a bit at 55 but didn't realise how low the bars actually were and how uncomfortable it would be .
I would probably get used to it but I've decided to try to raise the bars .
I want to keep the clip on set up to keep the look . I see Lsl have a kit available on square deals that seems ideal but bit pricey . Can I ask if anyone has any experience with the fitting of this kit?
Alternatively I notice on a certain auction site a pair of Thruxton 1200 clip ons , I know the folks are the same diameter , does anyone know the diameter of the 1200 clip on bars and the height of the risers? Any help much appreciated.

 

The kit brings the clip on bars up above the top yoke instead of below and think the slope on the bars is less severe too , should be a lot better .

 

It's called Lsl match tour high Thruxton 900 clip on kit . Made for the early Thruxton models.
