My username is amazingly imaginative! There's two Dave's in my family, my Uncle Dave who is older and smaller and was always known as Big Dave and then me, younger and bigger and always know as little Dave, it used to wind me up so now I insist on being known as Big Dave!

We are also known by rank as we are a huge military family so instead of using my preferred monicker of Big Dave I'm called Gunner Dave despite being in the army for 18 years and not having been a gunner since 1999! I just can't win with my family!

I'm also called Big Dave as I'm cuddly!

Takson was from a friend years ago. He said I looked like his fat Chinese friend, Takson Pang.

This is a bit weird as at the time I was not fat, and I have never been Chinese.

Otherwise known as Chimp. Might be slightly hairy.....

On a less flattering note, the wife says I eat like one.... but I can't think what she means..

Mine is the nickname I used to give to my oldest son when he was a toddler... He's now 20 and taller then me, in fact both sons are, so I now use the name for myself :)

Shagrat is an Orc character from Lord of the Rings, which I've read 9 times (sad I know), but also a nickname given to me in my teen years because I had one or two more girlfriends than was usual at the time. 57 being the year I was born (it's actually my birthday today and I'm 57)!!
