    Hi,

My name is Gary and I'm new to motorbikes. I passed my test last summer and my dad has let me ride his Fazer 600 since then. I have also been test riding different bikes, I've ridden:

CBR 600RR- didn't do anything for me
    BMW S1000RR- Bloody hell! Insurance!
    Street Triple- Nice bike, comfortable.
ZX-6R- great bike, comfortable, easy to ride, .

The ZX6R was my first choice until I rode the Daytona, nothing made me smile, laugh and have as much fun!!! I found it is easy to ride (flatters me), its British, looks superb, fills me with controlled confidence, sounds incredible, and I feel a foot taller after riding one.

So... I bought my new bike last Saturday 25th January... A Daytona 675R and I pick it up 1st March. I'm so pleased

I joined up to talk bikes with fellow owners and ask for your experience owning Triumphs. I look forward to chatting with you.

Welcome to the forum, watch out for the old over confidence as it can lead to all sorts of issues of the painfull sort.

The best advice I can give is you don't have to prove anything to anyone so don't try to keep up with guys who have been riding for 20+ years as it usually ends in a pile in the ditch.

Anyway enjoy your new bike

BTW as the handbook recommends chain clean every 200 miles, invest in a paddock stand and 8mm paddock stand bobbins
