    Hi All
I just wanted to test the waters to see what sort of interest I might get; if any?
I have to rehome my beloved Steamer; to make space for another bike (and most importantly to keep the peace with SWMBO??)
I've owned the bike for in excess of TWENTY YEARS, so this will hurt; but I've hardly used her for the last five years and she deserves better.
She's lived in my integral garage all that time and has covered less than 17,000 miles.
There is no dealer service history as I have always done my own.
She had the sprag clutch done just after I bought her as a precaution, at a Dealer in Tring.
I rebuilt the carbs and fitted a Dynojet kit two years ago.
She has stainless race cans fitted and a centre stand.
I also have the original cans in great condition.
Thanks for any input in advance.
    Best, Jim

She looks like a beauty Jim - with her being a one owner and so pretty and purposeful you should have no trouble selling her, so long as it's at the market price. I would find it difficult to put a number on it as 1. she is over 20 yrs old; 2. She has only done 17,000 mls provable; 3. there is quite a cult following for Steamers.

The very best of luck with your sale.

    Thanks Dave
I was thinking of eBay or something, but would far rather see her go a proper triumph enthusiast; re price. I've seen them advertised for anywhere between a few hundred quid and over three grand?
We'll see what interest I get.
    Best regards, Jim

Jim why don't you do a Google search something like UK Steamer forum and see if you can connect with other steamer enthusiasts ? You might find you get better offers ?

Nah; that's my 748R. Now 853R with vast list of engine mods and custom fuel mapping. 160BHP at the wheel. Italian character now with Honda reliability. One of the reasons the Tiger needs a new carer?

If this was in my neck of the woods I would have bought it ! Missed one a few months back, they are really scarce over here. Good luck with the sale.

To add my penny worth. I keep an eye on evilbay & I reckon your bike will see 2K+ Jim.
Normally only the nails appear for sale. The last GOOD one I watched went for 2K+ last year. You need 2 or more interested & the weather to help as you well know.
What about listing it at 2.5K ONO & trying it!? Worth a try mate! Give the old girl a clean try it. Nowt to lose have you?

What I would do in these circumstances is to do a Fleabay search on your bike. This shows those for sale but if you into "filters" you can search for "completed items". This will show what bikes have been on Fleabay, the price asked and whether or not they sold. I also use this when I'm looking to buy as it's amazing to see how many times something your interested in has been listed and unsold before which puts you in a better bargaining position with the seller.
