Oil Leak from Gear Changer

    I've got oil leaking from the gear changer on my Tiger 855i. Its only a drip but it definitely gets worse the longer I ride it.

    I would imagine there is an oil seal on the selector rod. Im not familiar with your model of bike so couldnt comment on the ease of the job im afraid.

    Its probably a build up of chain lube that when hot reverts back to a liquidy state and drips a bit, remove the front sprocket cover and give it a good cleanout.

    Havent ridden it again but I bet that's what it was, thanks for the advice PeteH it was pretty cruddy in there.

    hi mate lets hope its just the oil and grease from the chain.
    I RECENTLY CHANGED MY CHAIN / SPROCKETS ON MY 900 CC TRIPLE ADVENTURER.
    Not an easy job however had to undo many parts, and replace the seal by the gear box spindel having had to drain the oil.
    Just giving you the heads up get all the bits you need before starting as it saves waiting for the good old postie !
