Hi Guys. Old git here back on a bike after near 30 absence. Collected red street twin in late June and have 3000 miles on the clock.
Only trouble I've had is odometer and trip counters not working until I wiggle cables below the clock. Bike goes to garage Monday morning for check up. Anyone else had similar issues?
Also flat battery yesterday. Bike on optimate now, maybe my own fault, but I didn't think it would need charging if I'm doing 200+ miles a week. How often should I be charging it?
My last bike was Trident Triton so I'm not used to and, ttc etc. Thanks

Bike bought new in June so battery should be fine. Just wondering if ABS and traction control and day running lights cause problems with charge.
Sadly these new bike dealership s don't seem to offer technical advice, and the girls at the service counter know less than me.
Still it's the only niggle and bike is a joy to ride

Thanks for the welcome. It's a minor niggle, bike under warranty. No problem except rush hour ride to central Bristol for check up. But Fowlers are lending me bike for the day so I could still have a bit of fun. Enjoy the sunshine

thanks. Can't help thinking I'm missing out on great ride this sunny day in Wiltshire, but bike battery on charge and I have to collect boy from school.

I think there is a post on here about street twin wiring loom faults, that the wires are too tight at the headstock and wear through/break best to get your dealer to check that! hth

Welcome in and I hope you get it sorted!! Just as an aside, if you want to keep it I’d lose your postcode in your profile, you never know who’s reading these. Be less specific ie town
Don’t fall in love with the loner!

[IMG]Allan hope you get it sorted. The wiring round the headstock on my new Bonnie seems a tad tight to me perhaps they're all like that from the factory,no issues so far though.

thanks. I've heard that from another guy. If that's the only problem I get I'll be very happy
