I can understand your reservations if they haven't nailed down the issue but it will most likely be some simple connection issue if diagnostics checked out. I would put it in writing that you accept their efforts but that in the event of a recurrence you expect an immediate, no quibble, exchange bike.

That doesn't sound good. The workshops are only as good as the technicians. Sounds like they have, or have Ben instructed to fix something they are not telling you about. You will never know. There is no way this fault would fix itself. I would be asking for a written service report to the extent of diagnostic work & how much stripping has Been done. There are always secondary consequences further down the line depending on who's been playing & what they have Been playing with. Remember it's your bike & you have the right to know the whole chain of events. I think it would be reasonable for you to ask Triumph for an extended warranty with regards to a non start issue, if not, advise them that if the issue occurs again within the 12 month warranty you will damand a refund under the sale of goods act (product not fit for purpose) I wish you all the best. All you want is transparency. And a reliable trumpet.

Well I'm picking it up first thing tomorrow so I'll post up my findings. Forgot to say when the fault first occurred the time clock jumped forward 2 hour and froze on that time. So should know within minutes if they have fixed it or if it occurs again.

Got my bike back today and all seams to be well. They carried out the first service for me F.O.C and while doing this found one of the injectors to be block. This was not part of the non start fault but found this to be strange for a new bike. Just glad to have my bike back and had a big smile on my face all the way home

I just dont get what the stealers actually do.
I work on the buses, if one breaks down its fixed that day, if it needs parts then next day,if they cant find the problem then they call in the manufacturer or the builder and 3/4 days later its fixed. every time with out fail; that is what happens.
Where do these dealers get off keeping your bike for weeks, they are simply not working on it,and lieing there is no other explanation.
Especially since they have instant access to manufacturers imfo and feedback.
I can understand a back street guy scraching his head and trying to work out whats wrong.
Glad your back on the road,Happy riding.

Its not uncommon for some dealers to phone my friend triumph specialist Clive Wood how to fix bikes, and he has fixed a few that the dealer and factory are stuck on!
With the bikes becoming more and more reliant on electrics many techs struggle, not just back street. Ask them to explain ohms law Doh...
