    Hi everyone! It is with great pleasure that I have joined this forum, because..... I HAVE SEEN THE LIGHT! I'm 48yo and have been riding/wrenching since I was 10. Raced MX, desert, drag, and motorcycles are a passion to me. I have owned and appreciated almost every type, size, and make of bike made. However, today I happened upon something I've never owned. A Triumph. I've always wanted one, but have always had time and space issues because of a dirt addiction. Age and wisdom have caused a shift and this bike found me. 2011 T100 Bonnie. I FREAKING LOVE THIS MACHINE! It was love at first sight. I'm happy just looking at it. It's art. Then I rode it.....HOOKED! I will add some photos tomorrow. There are few bikes that make me feel so happy while riding, but this bike covers the whole spectrum. Looks, ride, ergos, everything. Not just speed, not just looks, not just name, but the whole package. I look forward to meeting new people here who like to chat up bikes and have also experienced the "Triumph moment".

    Welcome to the forum MF
    Great introduction, I thought at first I had read riding/wenching but realised there was an 'r' in it. :p
    The Bonnies are just simply great.
    Enjoy the banter.

    Hooked on a Triumph Mr. Motofreak? Hah. HAH!
    Be afraid ... I bought my Trident just over 22 years ago ... I've still got the bloody thing. It won't leave me alone and Nursey's meds and my padded room just don't seem to help anymore.
    You are DOOMED!!!!!!:eek::eek:

    Thank you for the welcomes and accepting me into the tribe. I know I said I'd post some photos, however, the weather here in Iowa is in prime early fall and I COULDN'T LEAVE MY BIKE ALONE! I promise the photos will come and I know you guys will understand. Had a picture perfect 400mi day today. 80 degrees, sunny, and plenty of like minded people out doing the same thing. Ran up along the Mississippi on the Wisconsin side. Absolute bliss. I have rode it many times, but not on a Triumph. Like watching a child, it made something routine, something new and exciting! My Buell was pissed, don't care. My VTX was pissed, don't care. They are just going to have to learn to get along. The wife, she was not pissed. She has dealt with it for 27 years and knows that I'm just a 48yo child. She says once I start sleeping in the lab (garage), then it may be a problem. Once again, thanks for letting me on board. More will follow. Cheers!

    My photo, as promised. It took awhile, but when having to choose riding vs picture taking, the riding trumps. The early fall here in Iowa has been spectacular! 50 degree mornings giving way to afternoons in the mid 70's. I've been on a mission to spread the word, and that Bonnie has garnered a lot of curiousity, comments, and compliments. Plus, around here, while going on a charity ride, group ride, or bike event, I have been pretty much a solo act on the Triumph stage. My riding comrades completely understand and call it "a natural progression". Haven't had a single hater yet. Not that it matters. The wife has dubbed the bike "his smile machine". She has informed me that it has made me a mellow, happy person. Plus, she hasn't received a single call from an ER asking her permission to reset my shoulder, stich me, etc. I thought I would miss the dirt more than I do, but that's ok.

    I'm going to branch out, start posting on other threads, but I figured the photo should go here first. Thank all of you for the welcomes and wishes, and I'm resigned to make a better effort to send more updates from the land of corn and never ending 2 lane blacktop highways.

    Cheers!
