    Hi All

I'm hopefully collecting my 2013 Speed Triple 1050 on Saturday.

It's white and I love the paint. Photos dont do it justice.

    I have a few questions:

The one I am getting has no flyscreen and the plastic shroud in front of the tank is black. I've seen a few like this.
Did Triumph change the bike on occasion? I've seen some with Arrow end cans and some without.
This one has the Anodised Master cylinders but others I've seen dont but they could have been added by the previous owner.
Just slightly confused by it all

I will see what the wind blast is like without the flyscreen before thinking about one.
Definately going to get a pillion seat cover and remove the pillion footpegs though ;-)

    Cheers!

    Martin

Congrats on the bike :) thought they all came with the fly screen, no idea about the black tank panel ( easy to change for carbon or white) Arrow cans are an extra (high or lowboy) and alloy brake reservoirs are a factory accessory. Best colour is white :)

    Hi
My 2012 machine had the tank and front shroud the same colour but mine was a red bike. I've seen white Speed Triples both white and black with some owners going for the black carbon effect (aftermarket)

Anodised master cylinder will have been added by previous owner

Certainty when I bought new, the Arrow cans were the dealer option you could pay extra for as was the Arrow low boy although not sure how road legal the low boy was. If its got Arrow cans ask if the originals are available to go with the bike.

I had the front nose cowl and flyscreen on mine but in the end took it off as I didn't like the buffeting from the screen. Just be aware if you have the nose cowl and fit the flyscreen, 3 holes will need to be drilled for the rubber captive nuts. The cowl will then look odd if you take just the flyscreen back off.

    Welcome, and enjoy your Speedy
We need photos of course (forum rule :))
Anodised reservoir and Arrow exhaust are accessories fitted by previous owner.
I have seen Triumph do variations with black or white body panels on the white Street's (possible cost cutting IMO), so it's quite likely they did the same with the Speed. (is the panel gloss or satin/matt?)
There's always the option to get it sprayed up or start adding some carbon fibre bits.:)

Hi, my mate's 2013 has a black battery cover in front of the tank, my 2015 is the same as the bike. (White is fastest, don't let anybody tell you different.)
As said above the arrows are an official Triumph accessory but are largely cosmetic, some claim +3 BHP if you take the baffle out!
Fly screen and/or fly screen + windscreen as seen in the red bike above makes bob all difference to wind protection, I had a tinted screen on my fly screen but have taken it off now I have the bar end mirrors as I prefer the look. I can't tell the difference in wind protection, some others may do but I'm 6'1" so it'd have to be as big as a BMW screen to protect me

Thanks for all the feed back
After seeing how much a colour coded battery cover/tank cowl is (£180) I think it's going to remain black for the time being ;-)

Only one more sleep to go and it's a bank holiday weekend so I hope to get some miles on it ;-)

Will have to see how good the standard mirrors are. I have bar end mirrors on my other bike and like them a lot.
What's a good option for the Speed Triple. I really dont want to pay Triumphs price for a couple of mirrors. £95 each!!!!

3 pistons bar end mirrors , and there's a used set on eBay at the moment for £25+ £6 postage, they look pretty good to me.

    Hi All,

I think the 2011/12 Speed Triple had an unpainted battery cover on all colours. If you are after a cowl and Arrow exhausts have a look at the offers on the official Triumph website under Accessories/ Accessory Offers/Roadsters. Most parts are 50% off. They must be having a clear out.

After 2 days I have worked out that I'm averaging 50mgp so I must try harder.
Happy with the standard mirrors as I can see behind perfectly OK
I fitted the flyscreen and it seems to work well
