    Hi All,

I have often found the process of trading my motorcycle frustrating as I do vey few miles each year and keep my bikes in immaculate condition the when arriving at a dealer made to feel that its not a popular bike and offer 20% below book on in.

So I have created a website called:

www.trademyride.co.uk where you can list your bike and also list which bikes you are interested in trading with.

You will have to strike a deal with the seller but at least both of you wont be taking a haircut at the dealers!

any suggestions would be gratefully received.

    thanks

that's a really good point, I hope that the more people we get on it the more likely we can make a match, after all the bike you buy at the dealers was owned by somebody before?

I would like to get my cost back on the site eventually, but its more important to get people using it first so the first 100 users will be free.

As always you need to do your checks, HPI etc just like any other purchase.

    thanks again!

I hoped that people would price their own bikes competitively or you are just kidding yourself and perhaps putting someone off contacting you to trade if they think you have unrealistic expectations.

I think it might help to have access to something like glasses guide.???

As it's free i'll use this the next time i sell a bike:) i've always found Autotrader to be the best in the past, as long as you price it right it should sell quickly and you will still get way more than any dealer will offer you,i've tried MCN but never had any luck maybe it's better down south? also tried Gumtree but was plagued with dodgy emails and phone calls so i'm not using them again.
the hard part for you is getting the web site known by everyone..loads of emails to bike clubs and forums would be a good start
