Hi guys just got some TRIUMPH short tapered exhausts from TRIUMPH world for a bargain £48 delivered. They are stamped not for road use. Do anyone know how to remove them?

When you fit them on your bike you can't see the markings unless you're upside down in a ditch ....
    ...... I wouldn't worry about it mate :p

Agree with littleade with regards to mot :)
I've had bikes in the past with end cans on and have been given an advisory but still passed mot :p

I have cocktail shakers on my speedmaster and even these aren't very loud o_O
    Not really loud anyway :p

Might be urban myth, but seem to remember reading somewhere that removing "Not for road use etc" is a no no on account you can be accused of perverting coarse of justice - potentially custodial sentance. Same principle applies to flip up number plates and the like.
Plod says it's VERY naughty, he doesn't like to be outwitted.

Apparently you can cover the "Not for road use" engraving with silver tape. The MOT tester is not allowed to remove it. This is what my local triumph dealer told me.

Loud pipes save lives we all know that:) the MOT is at the examiners discretion so it's opinion that the exhaust is not for road use (marketing ploy) also I don't think the engine even has to run to obtain an MOTo_O my Triton straight through 2 into 1 with a "gary" end can and he didn't say a word!
