Thruxton Sound Improvement In Europe (so No Cat Removal)

    Hi all, I got my new TTR yesterday. Equipped with V&H Euro-spec cans, so the baffles don't come out. My only disappointment is that the sound is obviously muted due to the regulations.

    Has anyone had any success to improve the sound quality without removing the CAT or installing a US-spec exhaust system? Is there no way to operate on the Euro-spec cans to remove the baffle, for example?

    Mine was supplied with US spec V&H Cans: if needed the sound killer bit is fitted with a circlip. The dealer supplied the cans with the sound killer removed.

    When the bike has to go for its MOT (TUV) inspection I must put the sound killers in.

    In the UK it seems is legal for Triumph to sell the US Spec exhausts, but the dealer has to fit them. It is probably illegal to fide the bike with them but there is more chance of winning the Euro-millions lottery than getting caught.
