Hi Folks, Just bought by first Triumph, matt black Street Twin and I bloody love it! I was looking for something to replace my BMW F650GS and needed a bike for a person of the shorter stature. I sat on the ST and could flat foot which I could paddle it around unaided and without the fear of toppling over. I went back for a test ride and well...it's a good job my OH also rides! Can't believe it's rained every day since I bought it. Wonderful machine in every way. Looking forward to reading more of this forum, there seem to be some very knowledgeable folks here.
Welcome to the forum Gothroader. Great bikes the Bonnies. Get it sprayed up with Scottoiler FS360 or similar if you are using it in the wet. These new bikes are prone to a bit of corrosion.
Hi and welcome, the street twin is delightful. Just got back from a Sunday morning scratch on mine..As you say lovely little bike. Wessa
Welcome in! See how humble everyone is? Claiming not to be knowledgeable... Me, I only claim to have no humor (I am German, you know!) Well as I said: we are such a humble bunch.
Thanks for the lovely welcome. Took it out for a proper blast in the sunshine yesterday, what a glorious bike to ride. It is nice to be able to keep up with my OH's Pan too (at least on A and B roads!). I have a few bits and bobs that I want to add (like a centre stand!). Is it best to buy Triumph branded?
I ride a StTwin every day. Took it to the GMU. Love it. Road a 765 Striple RS today for a couple or three hours on errands from work. Took the opportunity to do some back roads and twisties. Second time on the bike for an extended run. Tons of power. Great for overtaking anything and everything on the A roads, and a real buzz with the short Arrow can, but not the fun of the Twin on the country lanes.
