I have been using Scala bluetooth headsets for a few years but want to try a wired autocom unit to use between myself and a pillion (my wife) Unfortunately on the Bonneville T100 there is very limited space to fit anything. There is only a space behind the battery 5cm wide and I will only have about 3cm in depth. Has anyone else fitted wired headsets and where and how can I fit one of these wired units? I have e mailed an Autocom supplier for the dimensions but I am not optimistic it will fit in this tiny space.

hi, no one seems to have replied. Anyway if it's an SPA unit they are 14cm x 7cm x 2.5cm
    If it's the Logic its 11.5cm x 6.5cm x 2.5cm
All the details can be found here... http://autocom.co.uk/index.html

I am trying to figure out how to fit one to a Thunderbird LT (I have the SPA) and don't see why I should part with it, so much better than bluetooth.

Hi DG good luck with fitting your autocom unit. I've used both bluetooth and autocom units and I have found the freedom of the bluetooth without the cables etc to be optimum. Still it comes down to personal choice, so go with what works for you.

I didn't fit the unit to the bike. I fitted the unit in the carrier holster from autocom. I would carry the holster and then plug the power lead in and then the two helmet leads. It works well enough but if your tank range isn't 250 miles it gets really irritating on a long trip. My bikes range is only 120 to to reserve and 170 to dry (T bird 900 ) by the end of a long day it can get a little irritating. Against that an unexpected bonus is no charging overnight or reduction performance at the end of a long day.
