Hi guys! Got a pair of triumph arrow slip ons in the end brand new for £374 including the link pipe. Good deal if you ask me! Im fitting them myself, just wanted to know how much people are paying for the re-mapping of the ecu cos of the new cans? Metropolis motorcycles where I bought the bike from want to charge me £20+Vat Fair price or not? Thanks Van
Im glad then, I'm not familiar with the dealer but that's where I bought my bike from so they were the first ones I thought of! Here some pics took about 45 mins to fit quite please with myself haha Does anybody know if I can ride it straight away or if I have to get that remap done asap? Thanks Van
For the benefit of knowledge and anyone interested on the SC Project dual. SC Project CF mufflers weights 1.7kg per can, for a total = 3.4kg Stock mufflers weight 3.1kg per can, for a total = 6.2kg Total weight shaved off is 2.8kg
Just realised you don't have clips on the link between the silencers to the link pipe? Is that what it's supposed to be like or did you make special fixings? I've put the clips that was on the original exhausts. Cheers Van
As Red_Baron, I went for the SC Project carbon slip-ons. Not been disappointed. Smaller and lighter than the Arrows. £600 direct from the manufacturer. Sound awesome even with the DB Killers in and are certificated road legal. Gled.
I took the baffles out of my arrows and I'm not gonna lie the sound is perfect for me. They are pretty loud but not too loud if you get what I mean! Did the SC ones come with a link pipe? Van
No link pipe Van, just the two cans that slip over the original splitter with no clamp or gasket. I haven't noticed any leaks though. The manufacturer says no remap is required but my Triumph dealer says I should get the Triumph map for the Arrows cans. I'd love to know what other forum members recommend because he's quoted £70 which seems expensive to me. Gled.
Get the remap done mate especially if your in warranty period the dealers will try anything to get out of a warranty claim. £70 seems way too steep! I paid £20 at metropolis motorcycles who charge well over £100 an hour for labour on Ducati's and triumphs! Who has quoted you £70? If you do go for the remap make sure you get to the dealer a couple of hours before you appointment as they need to wait for the engine to cool down before they run the map on it as it has to go through different heat sequences to have it installed! (They only told me that when I got there unfortunately and ended up spending about 2 hours walking around in the shop and that can get pretty boring) Van
I believe that's how they should be fitted, no clips needed. Just looked at a pic of my mates triple, no clips on his (dealer fitted)
