Had my new Street RS for 4 week and 300miles then it started refusing to start. Dealer has now had my bike for 3 weeks and still not fixed it. How long do you think is a reasonable time for them to fix it. Seriously thinking of asking for my money back.

I would be demanding a courtesy bike at the least.
I believe you would be in your rights to ask for a refund should you choose.

They gave me a bike after 2 weeks when I sent them a letter drafted by my solicitor. But its a 1000 pound excess and really want my bike back.

Three weeks is too long. I would tell them in writing 'fix it in 7 days or give me a replacement' and copy it to Triumph.

Gave them until yesterday as that was the 7 day deadline I gave them. So going to call them tomorrow.

    Hi

That is not good service in my mind.

I think you have every rite to give then stick

I would go direct to Triumph, I have spoken to a guy called Lee who was very helpful.

    Good luck

Triumph have diagnostic equipment and trained staff so it should only take a mater of minutes to diagnose a problem

Just be clear you have rights under the Sale of Goods Act to reject goods 'within a reasonable time' which are 'not of merchantable quality'. You can seek replacement or a total refund if they cannot effect an expeditious total repair. This covers the dealer. You also have (at least) a 12 month warranty against the manufacturer.

No ifs and buts, if it won't start so soon into your ownership you are well within your rights to demand repair or replacement. Seven days is more than reasonable given time already elapsed.

Do not get angry but be very firm and commit anything relevant to hard copy or email. Make it clear you are setting the clock ticking and will not be strung along.

Really wish I never bought it now. Called today they said they stripped it and put it back together and it was ok after they check it. But will try it tomorrow to make sure its now fixed. Tomorrow there last day I totally sick of it now.

And then you get aboard, it fires up, you move off and suddenly all is forgotten, all is forgiven. A smile develops, the traction control kicks in to curb your renewed enthusiasm and life is good.....

Been told the bike is ready. They have not found the fault but its not doing it anymore. Totally not confident in the bike anymore.

Good luck, I hope it doesn't give you any issues and you can enjoy it as you intended.
