Hi all, been lurking here for a while to learn a bit about Triumphs prior to purchasing one. Been riding for a while on a variety of machinery, but never a Triumph, and at 71 decided my Firestorm was not appropriate for my years. After toying with the idea of building an SE based cafe racer I settled instead for a new Thruxton which I picked up two days ago. Of course since I got it the weather has been diabolical....it is winter here. Have already had a poke around to find out where all the bits are, and thanks to the forum have turned the Monza fuel cap the right way round, and since I took the photo I have removed the fork reflectors! Look forward to learning more about the beast and have a list of things I hope to do to it.
Welcome in kiwidave4, you've done well to be glued to the firestorm seat for so long!! Enjoy the new pretty triumph and also the best forum!!
Welcome in kiwidave4, lovely bike. Might be asking you a few questions about your beautiful country soon.
Actually been a long time since I rode a bike on that bit of road. Too many trucks and oil spills these days.
