Hi all, been lurking here for a while to learn a bit about Triumphs prior to purchasing one. Been riding for a while on a variety of machinery, but never a Triumph, and at 71 decided my Firestorm was not appropriate for my years. After toying with the idea of building an SE based cafe racer I settled instead for a new Thruxton which I picked up two days ago. Of course since I got it the weather has been diabolical....it is winter here. Have already had a poke around to find out where all the bits are, and thanks to the forum have turned the Monza fuel cap the right way round, and since I took the photo I have removed the fork reflectors! Look forward to learning more about the beast and have a list of things I hope to do to it. 20170623_121248.jpg

Actually been a long time since I rode a bike on that bit of road. Too many trucks and oil spills these days.
