Ok, this is one of my other passions. Live music, so I'm just interested in who you last saw, what they were like and anything interesting etc...

After about 27 years, me and the wife finally got to see Guns n' Roses again. Loved the concert, they played for about 2 1/2 hours and got in most of the good stuff played. Great crowd too. Axels voice improved as it warmed up, kept nipping off for a breath of oxygen and a quick pie. Duff was steady as a rock, cool as f**k! The drummer, Frank Ferrer was great, as were the keyboards... Richard Fortus was a great Izzy but with solo licks of his own. Slash was on fire, I've seen him a few times over the years and never had to "endure" a moment... yes he's a lead guitarist who goes off on one, but I love his tone, his style of playing and can listen to him for hours!

    Two very happy fans!

The Who a few weeks ago in Birmingham.

Before the concert we went for a meal and the girl serving asked if we were doing anything later. I said we were going to se the Who. She said "pardon", I said "the Who", she said "who?" THE WHO I said. Oh.

All of a sudden I felt old.

You can get high quality ear defenders that reduce volume but keep sound coming, worth a try!

My base player wears hearing aids that cut the racket of the drummer and lead but allows her to hear things over all better... no tinnitus either! They won't be perfect but they keep her slapping her bass

Last band was The Pixies at The Barrowlands in Glasgow last year. So feckin loud the paint was actually falling off the ceiling !!!! I had a chance to go see them back in the late 80's at Sheffield, but hadn't heard much, so turned it down. Mate lent me Surfer Rosa album and still 27 years later listening to it. Took me all those years, after they reformed a few years back, to see them live.

Next band - Pixies at The Kelvingrove Bandstand , in Glasgow, in August.

Been a while since I've been to a concert but my last and probably best was watching Motley Crue in Glasgow over 10 years ago. Van Halen in Sheffield was a close second.

I saw VH back in the late 80's / early 90's but I can't remember if they were supporting Bon Jovi or GnR???

When I saw them in Sheffield they had Little Angels supporting them, a great band in their own right.

He wasn't joking, Robbie is a real showman. Normally he wouldn't be my cup of tea but I have to say he binded with the crowd. He did a tribute to George Michael. And even brought his dad on to sing. Very entertaining night even if your not a fan

Went to the Red Wedge tour in Bradford, not for the political side of it, but they had some bloody good artists on from what I can remember.
    Saw Ultravox in Manchester live.
Love music but not a big gig fan.

I wasn't there, but it was shown on French telly - The Manchester Concert pulled together by Ariane Grande - after the terrorist attack. Not a big fan of her, but Katy Perry was great and Chris from Coldplay was brill.

It might sound like a big claim, but I can't help but wonder whether this concert will turn out in the future to be the day when we in the West started to look at religious fundamentalism in a different way. Time will tell eh?
