Sorry Essex boy in my naivity I didn't notice the mag wheels, it's only spokes that need to have innertubes
Hi, I've recently fitted avon trail runners to my 2012 Bonnie with alloy wheels. I Increased the sizes: Front 120/70/17 Av53 Rear. 150/70/17 AV54 These fit with no problem and don't affect the speedo reading, (Due to being same diameter). Don't notice any different handling, and they look cool! Being chunkier they are better in muddy lanes etc. I also fitted TEC rear shocks, with the lighter springs (I asked and george. Sent both heavy and light springs at no extra cost! Use good locktite on joints and marker pen so you can check if bolts move. Regards Wayne
Thats interesting, always wondered if you could put a wider tyre on, I dont ever intend to do muddy lanes, do you have a pic of the bike with them on so I can see its coolness? Thx
Hi EssexBoy. Just fitted Michelin PilotActiv on my 2010 Bonny. I went oversize 120/70-140/80, bike not only feels much better, but also looks much better too(and it looked pretty damn good before). Only done 100 or so miles as yet so still running in, but feels great. I hated the Metzelers, they're quite hard, and they got "squared off" in the middle of the tread?? If your looking for good prices I can recommend Oponeo. Sure they are all over Europe and you won't get next day as your tyres will prob'ly come from Germany or Poland, but cheap and easy to deal with, tracked delivery etc.
I had Avon RoadRiders on my Honda VT750S and they suited it well, although it was hardly the sharpest handling bike around. I've got a 1992 883 Sportster which has Avon Cobras. I like them very much on that bike. I'm surprised to see the reference to Ricor Intiminators. I have them on the Sportster and they greatly improve the handling, which isn't hard to do on a Sportster. I also thought to try them on the Honda, which was very softly sprung but I traded the bike in against the T100, so it never happened. Is the damping on the Triumph as old-fashioned as the Sportster? Are Intiminators effective or useful? The rear units could certainly stand improvement
I'm running my T120 on Avon Storm 3 great grip but not much space between tyre and chain although Avon confirmed to me all is ok

I was thinking about Avon Cobras as you can get them with whitewalls, looks wise I think they'd go quite well but I'd never heard of anyone who'd ever used them!
