New(ish) to the forum and brand new to Triumphs I've always been more the Japanese marques up until a year ago when I took the plunge and went with a run out model deal on a 2015 S3R. Nice bike I guess, and I plan on keeping it for some time to come. Just haven't got round to saying hi until now. Although profile says Victoria, Australia I was born, lived and worked in the Midlands for 35 years before moving out here. Must say I miss the bike scene back there a lot. There is nothing really close to it here, the Great Ocean Road used to be pretty cool but now speed limits, fun police and the high chance of a coach pulling over just after a blind bend in the middle of the road to show tourists a friggin Koala kinda takes the shine of it. I don't miss the weather or the ridiculous size of bike number plates and tax discs back home tho lol. A big thanks for making this one of the best forums for bikes I've ever used and the knowledge base is awesome. Oh yeah and water runs down the plug hole the same was as it does there!lol
Hi mate and welcome The bike scene here is usually wet and cold so you're probably better off where you are According to a documentary I seen called the Simpsons the water goes down the plug hole the opposite way in the Southern Hemisphere If I were you I'd check again mate just to be sure Wouldn't want to look silly now would you?
Hi and welcome to the forum. Weather is better where you are - raining here today. No tax discs anymore!
Hi and welcome, yep I reakon that you are in the best place for the weather, but not so sure about the riding roads Wessa
Hello & welcome. Same here fella, years of Jap fours, first Triumph last year and very pleased with my 14 year old 955i Speed Triple.
Thanks guys, few pics, didn't bother yesterday simply because I haven't done much to change/improve it yet. Think indicators are next along with levers and exhaust. No Andyc1 the "crashin" is more to do with a couple of unfortunate flying incidents and the name just stuck lol. I've double checked on the water direction and I'm definitely right, but the moon is upside down here!!!!. the roads are, well,,,,incredibly straight unless you have time to travel 100kms to get to the twistys, (hence chicken strip in third pic, well that's my excuse). could be worse tho, set up a blackbird for a customer a few years ago who planned to do the "Nullarbor" in South Australia, 800miles of dead straight highway, cant think of anything less appealing personally, each to their own I guess. Anyways thanks for the replies guys
Welcome! And I always knew, this Coriolis- was a marketing gag. So you probably also do not walk upside down. Right?
Hi & Welcome, you have an K7 750, great bikes, miss mine, love the Triumph, but wish I could have kept the Gixxer as well
Welcome to the forum Crashin Once driven by car from Melbourne to Adelaide, God was that one boring endless journey.
