    Hi guys!
I'm having a hard time deciding between the two.
I mostly commute to work and plan to ride out somewhere further occasionally (about twice a month).
I've been riding sports bikes for a few years but I'm not very experienced (never tried to improved really) so I don't have high performance expectations. Don't think I'll be able to afford track days so it's mostly recreational riding I'm after.

I'm potentially looking at these options:
    - white 2015 Speed Triple with 2800 miles for £7500
    - black 2016 Street Triple with 3200 miles for £6250

I've ridden a 2015 Street rx and a 2016 Speed today (different from the ones I'm thinking of buying) and both bikes felt cool in their own way. I was expecting to feel more difference in size and power but both felt equally fun.
I'm a very tall guy so the Speed seemed the choice but I'm not sure if I want to pay £1000 upwards just for a slightly bulkier bike.

Have any of you been torn like this? What made you decide for one or the other?

Speed triple all the way mate, I went from a heavy Slow Harley straight to a speed triple and it was a breeze getting used to it. It's is fast when you need it to be and it is slow and very controllable when you're in traffic. I'm sure the street is the same but as a speed triple owner I'm bias!

    I have owned a 2014 Street R. I now own a 2016 Speed 94R.

The street was a great bike. Good laugh, very light and very good handling. Easy to ride, and throw around. You have to work the gearbox though to get the best from it i found.

The speed is the best bike i have ever owned. Bar none. Its engine is absolutely perfect. Gears don't matter. Wind the throttle, it pulls like a class full of adolescent schoolboys with unlimited internet access. Not as light or nimble as the Street, but the sum of it's parts make it the better bike for me.

Sure you will be happy with them both, but a test ride is an absolute MUST.

i had the same dilemma, and test rode both.
Because i had the intention of doing some longer trips from Cornwall to London to see my daughter, and also planned on some European trips, the Speed just made more sense for me.
Don't get me wrong, it can bring the hooligan out of anyone, but it's also a much more relaxing ride.
as said above, the engine is a peach and there isn't the need to work the gearbox to get the best from it.

OK! I've made my decision and picking up my new bike next week!

In a few days I'll be a proud owner of a 2016 Street Rx :)

Excellent choice! the street is a hooligan bike that begs to be spanked every time out.

Can't comment on the Street but I'm really pleased with my 955i Speed Triple. Best bit is the torque. Something you'd have less off on the Street.

I've arrived late at the party (as usual), but see you went for the Street over the speed, for what it's worth there wasn't a wrong decision whichever bike you had chosen, but I would have gone the same way as you. The Street is a very good all round bike, powerful enough without trying to high side you over the nearest hedge, light a nimble handling, a super slick gearbox, a good bike whatever your riding standard really.
What are your thoughts now you actually own it?

Tough decision. I had a Street and now own a 2016R Speed. And still not sure which I prefer. They both have their merits. Enjoy your Street
