Hello to the forum. I tried to join the forum over a year ago when I bought a 2014 Thruxton. Because of problems with the forum login, this is my first post. Thank you Rob for finally sorting the problem out - to be honest I'd given up hope! In the interim period I joined the USA Triumphnet forum and learned a great deal about the bike and have managed to modify the bike to make it more personal to me. Modifications include TORS, Hagon rear shocks, revalved forks, raised handlebars, brushed stainless gauge cups, ignition relocation raised seat and repositioned footrests. The bike is the third in my stable and supplements two BMW gs's a 1200 & 800. The Triumph is a thing of beauty and sounds fantastic - popping and burbling on the over run and roaring when winding it on. It's nowhere near the most powerful bike out there but for what I want - blatting round B roads in the Lake District, its great. I'm looking forward to sharing information with UK riders as although the US site is loaded with information, a great deal of it doesn't translate to my needs and buying from their recommended parts manufacturers is time consuming and disproportionately expensive. I'll get some pictures of the bike for the gallery in due course. Alan R
Hi Alan. Glad to see you got your login sorted. I hope in that time you was watching the forum? Would love to see your bike mate
Welcome. I bought mine for exactly the same reason but use it on the B roads further south (Cheshire and the Peak District) and east (North Yorks and the Dales). It's a real pleasure to own and fun to ride, I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine.
