ok it's yet another insurance thread.
Thought I would do some quotes on my bike for the new address.
Now most companies are in the £220-240 range which I think is steep.
Sadly the bike will be parked on the road under a cover as I have no garage here.
MCE though have out done themselves.
£142 + £775 excess. I know what my thoughts are they can go .......
If the bike was to be stolen/crashed etc that makes them extremely expensive £917 compared to £450 ish for any other insurance company.
I have full no claims etc.
    Thieving bar stewards!

I have just come off the phone to Carole Nash. It was a very very stressful 40 mins. I am now away to lie down in my darkened bedroom til my headache goes. I hate renewal time.

i think what we should do is, once we have been quoted a good renewal price, say to them if they can keep it at that price for the next year i will agree to that now, if not I'll be moving, whether that will work I've no idea but might be worth a try and it will save all the hassle the following year

Yes...... well the works mobile which is the same thing :D

About 10 mins into the call he quoted me £247 which I agreed. Around 10 mins after that when he finally got around to taking payment he announced...... "sorry, the price on my screen has changed to £265"...... it was sometime shortly after that I started to lose the will :(
