GUYS & GALS ....... many - and sincere - thanks for the birthday wishes ...... BUT .... it's still a week or so away!! I am (apparently) "full of grace"! Most people don't use the word "grace" when that sentence is normally directed my way ........ dunno why, mind!
Oh stop it, this bar you keep setting is way to hi seriously some great trips by the sound of things, makes my bike outings seam rather pathetic
We had a terrific time, @Dawsy! Thanks for asking. It was wonderful being by the sea--and in it! We missed one day of diving due to winds closing the port to small boats but still had five days of super dives. I'll post a few photos tomorrow (on a new thread not to derail this one ) if you're interested.
Just consider our birthday wishes best wishes for your "birthday season", Adie. These days we need to take--and extend--any reason to celebrate.

Hi everyone, I did attend the Kickback Show on Saturday the 8th, it certainly rekindled my love of all things chopper and custom motorcycles, so no new STRS or Panigale Streetfighter V2 for me, my next machine is definitely going to be one of those. I will set about costing a frame, engine and everything else I will need, then decide if it will be more cost effective to look for a second hand one and just add things as and when I fancy. Was it worth going, well no it wasn't, it was not as good as the blurb made out, it was advertised as "top custom builders, plenty of trade stands and lots of food stalls offering variety", absolute cobblers, only a very small number of food stands, Pizza and Wraps was about it, only a few trade stands, a small hall and poorly represented, had it not been for the excellent Tattoo Show in the adjacent hall an hour would have been far to long. The standard of machines were excellent builds and a credit to those people that built them. Would I return though, not a chance. Ride safe all from an ageing Rocker.
A really nice Harris Magnum 2, and a really cool little BSA Batam, the one I had decades ago didn't look like that though.
It will be interesting to see what you go for @Iceman (and a shame that the show wasn't as good as you had hoped). I take it you'll keep your STRS and the new machine will be an addition?
One of the many Tattoo Artists at work, I was amazed how many people attended the Tattoo Show, many had them done on the day, the whole show was excellent, love them or indifferent, they are fantastic to look at.
Hi Mrs V, yes I always intended keeping my STRS as I have put a lot of time and money into it, and wouldn't want to part with it, the new RS or Streetfighter V2 was an addition, although I originally only ever intended having one machine at a time, the days of having multiple bikes have gone for me, it takes an awful lot of time keeping on top of them all. I am looking forward to the new project though, are you still enjoying your Fireblade.
I am loving it, I like the feel of being over the front wheel - only really starting to get to know it now the roads have been dry this weekend - I went out on it on Saturday and yesterday and the Street Triple on Friday so have had a brilliant weekend (poor Helmut was on call for work, so I got to have all of the fun!!).

Not something I'd ever consider having done, I just can't see the point ( no pun intended) but I admit some of them are works of art done by very talented people.
Thanks for sharing photos from the Kickback Show, @Iceman. There may not have been a lot of bikes but there certainly were some creative and unique offerings. I'm sorry it didn't turn out to be a better event. But as you said, it did serve to rekindle your love of choppers and custom motorcycles and help you decide what your next machine will be. I'll be looking forward to seeing what you choose! BTW, I did notice a burrito stand. How are the Mexican food offerings in general in the UK??
