That's fine. It was simply a way to answer your question without anybody with an agenda chiming in and adding to any underlying rancour. I logged in to reply to D2T and it would have been rude not to offer you the same courtesy. So I did.
My problem is essentially v simple. After I log on and before I can read posts I get adverts popping up and by the time they've cleared I'm borex and log off again
Could you please adjust that comment to something less offensive such as f...ing Mohammed on a bike. Thank you
Crikey, that's an overreaction Daniel. I may be wrong, but I think the poster who put that picture up may have been referring to this: https://www.triumphrat.net/ Clue is in the name of the website. PS Riders Association of Triumph, worldwide organisation.
Don‘t you worry mate, I am a gay Harley rider as well (hey @Rooster ) and there definitely is no CURE
Alan, I had the pleasure to meet you in person and would always raise my glass to you… But seriously? Overreaction? Well it takes some very well meant interpretation to take that comment any other way than it was put in letters…
Hi @Winglad just catching up with this thread. Good to hear from you and just ignore those that don't know mate.
Hi @Wessa ! Sorry for coming up that rude. But I am sick and tired of folks judging others without ever having met them and not having the slightest inclination about whom they are talking about. I hated the whole development that lead to the banning of old time chaps on here. And may anyone think of it whatever they will. As grown up folks, we should be able to work things out without messing up a forum that was once so dear to us and full of fun and good banter… After I worked my way through this thread, I felt utterly disgusted. (And @Havit please feel free to kick me out as well). I tried to follow a diplomatic course; tried to embrace everyone’s opinion. But I guess, we are beyond this by now, aren‘t we? So, the RAT says „good bye“ once more and for the last time… (We had great times mate, and I will always cherish them in my heart…) Fare well
I've not met you Daniel, but you always came across as a nice, sensible person. Don't get all worked up by ignorants mate. It's actually a nice place again of late.
Guy comes here and resurrects a months old thread just to bitch and say goodbye…. Twice. Later, jackass!
@Winglad I'm glad to have you back here, Daniel, and I hope you've not already signed off this forum or will consider coming back (again). There are still some here (as everywhere on this planet) with whom we disagree or whose views we find offensive. And there are those who disagree with us and find our views offensive. But I've learned to not throw the baby out with the bath water. There are far more positive reasons (for me anyway) to be part of this forum community than not to be. After the "big blowup" a year ago, I'm now just more selective as to where and with whom I spend my time on the forum. If conversations go from banter or good-natured ribbing or respectful disagreements to mean-spirited name-calling and accusations, I do the electronic equivalent of walking away. I click to another thread.
Wow just read through this thread and it makes for sad reading. OsteKuste do stay with us if you are not gone already. This is a good forum and winglad and your self are a big part of the forum. Sure we all have likes and not likes and get riled by what each other from time to time but we are all as one when it matters. Some mentions here about Dozers Dad. We never met but when i was having some trouble he was on his way down to sort it for me and i had to tell him not to. I liked him and a couple of others that left. But the forum has got back to a new normal and we all help and respect each other isn't that what its all about. I agree with Sandi T I now try to be selective about the topics i read and reply to. And i just try to see everyone's point of view. I do like it here as there is no or minimal name calling or slating others because they have a different view to our own. I did think we were all grown ups. And i like you all you bring that little bit of your self's here that help cheer other up. So lets all make up and get ready for Santa Claus. Never know maybe he will have a new bike. Or a pair of bloody warm gloves as my old fingers are ready to snap. Happy Christmas. Joe.
Sums it up perfectly. With an additional bonus for a happy Christmas wish. You too mr jmd and best wishes to your family also.
