Looking to purchase a set of Torx type sockets like these http://www.halfords.com/workshop-to...rds-advanced-7-piece-torx-bit-socket-rail-1-2 so my question is will these be suitable or should I be looking at TRX whatever they are. Cheers
I have them and have used them on the bike. Halfords will let you take them out of the store ( they've done it with me in the past) to check if they are suitable. If you go on the bike and check them against it Will depend on the one you go to of course
TORX fixing are an automotive industry std. - you'll need a range of quality bits if you want to work on your bike. The only other type of similar fixing that I'm familiar with would be Allen style fixings. Don't know about these TRX ones you mention.
Milwaukee do a really good bit set, that works really well with the Torx heads, not too expensive either..
