Has anyone encountered this issue, and suggest a fix. The rev counter is showing double the real revs !!!

The coils are starting to break down, if it's anything like a TBS.
The revs are picked up from no.1 coil.

that was a bit of good advise dirty big hands, I swapped number 2 coil with number 1 and the tacho reads correctly.
Ive ordered a new coil, however, can you tell me why the bike appears to be running fine even though the coil is not functioning properly?
    Thanks again

    Not a clue!
My rev counter was intermittent from when I bought it, but always ran a bit hesitant/lumpy at low revs.
I changed all 3 coils, on the assumption that if 1 is starting to fail, the other 2 won't be far behind.

It’s an oddity of tachometers that low voltage and poor connections can lead to high readings. A coil on the blink usually suffers a growing discontinuity in the fine windings......might explain.
